Laughably bad. They threw all the horror tropes in there against the wall to see what would stick. Birds smashing against windows. Check. Creepy dollhouse. Check. Phantoms. Check. Unfortunate looking little girl. Check. Devil worship, ancient texts, seances, that lady from the Leftovers, yadda yadda yadda.
And they gave up at the end even trying to have a plot that made sense. (SPOILER ALERT), yes the cute Aussie pup bites it too. Two stars for making me laugh out loud at some of the junp scenes. What the hell are the critics who praised this film smoking? I want some of that.
