Review of Hereditary (2018) by Tyler N — 17 Jun 2018
Toni Collette gives an absolutely outstanding permorance. The rest is just okay. There's no way that little girl would have ended up on her own at the house party. That was dumb. There was certain information the mom knew towards the end that she couldn't have known.
The creepy lady, who was such a big party of the grandma's life...How was she so sure that Toni Collette's character didn't know who she was?! These plot holes and a VERY slow second act hold this movie back BIG TIME.
If the hype wasn't so grand, I wouldn't be as hard on the film. But the people saying this is on the level of The Shining and Exorcist are smoking crack.
