Review of Hereditary (2018) by Susan G — 18 Jun 2018
I am a huge scifi/thriller/horror fan snob. I HATED a Quiet Place and most of the reviews were so positive. A few did feel the same way I did...bored to tears! Now as far as Hereditary, I really really enjoyed it.
...I loved the build up and the suspense and the scenery and the house and the surprises like heads flying off! I loved the focus on miniatures and how there were no boundaries of what could be miniaturized.
When it was over I said that "All of Them Witches" from Rosemary's Baby were back, naked and some headless, for Hereditary! The only part I didn't get is why take your shoes off in a house with wooden floors?? Rituals that's why.
...This movie deals with mental illness, sleepwalking, witches, 12 step programs....death, seances....lots of candles and creepy moments which I thoroughly enjoyed.
