Review of Hereditary (2018) by Jeffrey D — 27 Nov 2018
A very professionally well-done horror indie, with terrific performances all around, this may actually help to start a series of post-turn-of-the-millenium neo-noirs. Only flaw - it just doesn't have the same level of impact on the genre that NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD had half a century ago (then again, very few films do nowadays).
If this is what you are searching for, go ahead, it's highly recommended. But if you're one who's looking for totally unrestrained, uncensored horror that doesn't guarantee the interference of fat cat studio input, watch those from the period of late 1960's through the late 1980's to see how it really COULD have been done.
