Review of Hereditary (2018) by Sarah W — 21 Jul 2018
"People were laughing..." This is the most common criticism I see of this film, and truth be told this is not a "startle" movie, or jump scare movie. It's a horror film. If you don't have the patience for a solid story or you're in a theatre with people who need to talk so they aren't scared, then it's not the film for you.
Otherwise, it's a deep twisted story that will have you guessing and trying to piece together the meaning as well as keep you up at night.
