Absolutely horrifying. This movie started off very jarring and confusing--to a point where, if I explain it to someone, it sounds like I'm talking up a comedy. There's such an unsettling, disturbing feel to it, that kept my skin crawling throughout the entire ordeal.
It's such a basic concept we've seen a thousand times over, but comes across in the most terrifying way I have ever experienced with a film. Top notch acting and the cinematography are what bring this across so effectively.
I don't know what it was about the wide open shots that added to the effect of unease I was feeling, but I cannot stop thinking about the disturbing imagery in this film, and as terrifying as it was, I'm now morbidly curious to watch it again.
