THE HYPE FOR THIS FILM IS DEFINITELY not justified. while some would say that this is a slow burner I would simply state that for this to be true something actually has to happen. there are certain points that get your attention but they are few and far between, the pacing for the film; or lack of it, makes this film hard to get invested in.
the ending feels as though it was stapled on just to avoid going too far over the two hour mark and as result, once the credits started I found myself wondering why people found it so scary. the twists in the film are set there to try and get the audience to think but instead had me thinking that I should have seen a different movie.
So overall, if you want to see a terrifying film with any consistency do not see this. if your a fan of thinking convolution is intelligent writing this is the film for you. poor.
