The first three quarters made up one of the most visceral, uncomfortable, unique horror films to watch. An almost perfect recipe for Hereditary to become one of my favourites. However, the last quarter of the film.
The ending. It was like they took every scary thing from every scary movie and threw it in without thought. While trying to be scary they bordered along something comical. People in the theatre laughed when the lady floated up into the treehouse.
Truly felt like two different movies. Ignoring the ending, this was a GREAT horror film.
