Review of Hereafter (2010) by Corey N — 15 Sep 2011
This drama focuses on three main characters. One is a medium that considers his gift a curse for a normal life. Another character has a near death experience and the third character loses a twin brother and wants to contact him through a medium.
Their stories are start off different but by the end they all connect to each other. This movie never really forces anyone to believe in a certain afterlife but does raise the question what do you believe happens once we die.
I didn't know this movie was directed by Clint Eastwood till the end of the film. But this was a very character driven film and that is typical of most Eastwood films. Matt Damon is the big name of the film.
He is solid in his role and the supporting cast are great as well. The film does seem bit long and may bore some people in parts but is sort of needed for the story being told. I enjoyed it. A decent drama that entertains and makes you think.
Well worth a watch.
