Review of Here Comes the Devil (2012) by Marlon A — 07 Jan 2014

A throwback to 1970s horror that just goes to show that 1970s horror directors knew what was up. That's really just a small part of what makes this movie good, though. For roughly the first half hour, it seems like Here Comes The Devil might be little more than a graphic cycle of people having sex and bad things happening, but once things get moving it's so much more restrained, more interesting, and definitely more frightening than that.

This is damn good horror.
