Review of Here Comes the Boom (2012) by Jason S — 01 Apr 2013

I sat down and watched this one with the wife and we both really enjoyed it. It's not breaking any new ground in story telling but the characters are likable and there are some really funny moments.

Kevin James does a really good job playing a teacher who seems to have lost his excitement for his job and we get to see him regain it. I like that his character is a likable guy and someone that you could look up to because he's a good guy and not just because he's the main character.

We don't have those in comedies very often anymore. I also like that this is a film I would be fine with letting my kids watch. The fighting isn't too violent and there are no crude moments to be found.

I recommend this one.
