Review of Here Alone (2016) by Rob W — 13 Aug 2018
This wasn't so much a zombie horror, more of a character study of how loneliness and those forced into extreme survival situations cope with their new world and the tough decisions that are made in order to survive.
. For the first half of the movie we follow the story of Ann, surviving alone, scavenging in order to survive while her story is told in flashbacks and we learn the fate of her family. Half way through the movie she rescues a father and his step daughter, at first keeping her distance but eventually warming to her new found companions and again here decisions are made that will change the lives of all 3.
Pretty interesting film, when the zombies do appear it was tense, the film uses sound to great effect. Worth seeing once.
