Review of Hercules Unchained (1959) by Jair V — 24 May 2009
Steve Reeves gays it up in this mediocre MST3K episode which sounds funny but really isn't. The plot deals with gay Herc and his submissive partner Ulysses try to prevent a war between two extremely gay brothers. Herc drinks from the Well of Forgetfulness and is abducted to some island where a transvestite-looking Queen makes him the King of the island. Ulysses pretends to be mute, except when massaging Hercules' massive thighs with oil.
Some Greek dudes who know Herc come by and everybody is saved after getting undressed at a beach. Meanwhile, the brothers go to war and kill each other in a sequence that is most likely supposed to portray the madness of war or something but ends up looking, you guessed it, pretty damn gay. Something happens in the end that I can't recall, but it involves Herc throwing giant statues at people and some old guy trying to be funny. MST3K commentary track isn't anything special.
