Review of Hercules in New York (1970) by Lewis T — 18 Jul 2007
This film is a masterpiece in cinematography. It is refreshing to see such a stark use of juxtaposition in such an early film. Hercules's ancient ways boldly contrasts and contradicts his modern surroundings.
The music is composed perfectly and has a distinct Grecian feel to it. The film also has a captivating and original use of lighting, like red colours to sybolise the devil. Over all this film is highly evocotive and mentally stimulating!
