Review of Hercules (2014) by Kendal K — 14 Oct 2013
Mid-90s animated (old-school: no 3D or CGI here!) Disney film, taking the ancient Greek myth of Hercules as its starting point.
I say starting point as it then completely ignores most of the original elements of the story, changing Hercules origins (understandably so in a kiddie film!), his relationship with Hera, and ignoring the classic '12 Labours of Hercules' tale. The result is a film that, to me, is OK to watch, but is also not one of Disney's better efforts (oh, and I wasn't particularly keen on the 'blocky' animation style used to denote strength).
