Review of Hercules (2014) by Red B — 08 Dec 2009
Although the story is a BIG cliche and there are tons of films with "Hercules" in their titles, this one offers something that makes it above all a great entertainment - humor. All kinds of humor actually including dark humor. I give a 10/10 of one of the best characters in an animated film to Pain and Panic. I do believe the film wouldn't be half as witty and funny as it is without these two cute demons. :D You will find it difficult not to laugh. You'll hear things like "Yes! Hades rulzzzz!", "Guys, get your titanic gear and kick some Olympian butt." , "Bolt-guy" (aka Zeus), "Wow...And by the way, sweet cheeks, I'm real too.", "Get your slimey souls off me!" etc. About the art - it fits very good the story - antient Rome/Greek (Hercules or Heracles - depends how you want it). There is of couse the typical for Disney music-part, which is also fresh and original.
If you're looking for lots and lots of humor, little bit of drama, romance, action and adventure, and all that in a mythical package, Disney's Hercules is your thing.
