If you're going to complain about how much you hate this movie because it is 'historically inaccurate' GET. A. LIFE! Yes it is, but news flash, THAT'S WHAT THE DISNEY COMPANY WANTED TO DO. Make it more believable & non-boring.

Seriously, complaining about how this movie (& the other Disney movies) is a rip-off is just like complaining about Barney not being an authentic Dinosaur. Seriously, grow up. If Disney would have used the original story in this movie, it would have been BORING & very inappropriate for kids & the family.

What kid pr parent wants to see Hercules go through 12[?] long-ass tasks, & suddenly beat the living shit out of his own wife & children for the biggest no-fucking reason ever? I sure don't that's for sure. So to get this over with, I'd rather watch a historically inaccurate, fun version of the Greek hero/God portrayed in a more believable & lovable way than a boring, gruesome version. The ONE problem I had with this movie was how they changed Pegasus's clor from black to white.

Animation: It is lovely & beautifully done like the rest of the Disney movies. The style & coloring is also lovely. The kept the style of characters in a more Greek-like fashion, & the coloring is pure.

Characters: They are all lovable, even the villain Hades & his two minion side kicks (Pain & Panic). Hercules tries to find a way to fit into the human world, but doesn't succeed to well, & then sets off on a journey to find where he belongs, & manages to find out he doesn't quite fit in the human world. Meg is the anti-hero of the story, but she later discovers that, while trying to find out Hercules's weakness, she has a fondness for him. Phil, do I have to say more? He's a funny fawn played by Danny DeVito, enough said.

Hades, he's one of the most hilarious villains out there, next to one of the best as well. His temper gets in the way, but at the same time makes it worth the laughs. As for the Muses, wow, do I have to say anything? They make the story worthwhile, & they're all lovable.

Songs/Music: As all the Disney movie, the best parts in them, & my favorite. The songs are all genius & well written (hey, what can you expected from Alan Menken?). They match the story perfectly, & have that gospel feel to them. And Danny DeVito sings, what more do I have to say?

Story/Plot: Like I said above, it is written much more believably & fit for the family. The use of pop cultural references was a nice touch, & made it as hilarious as Aladdin (which also did a good job with the pop-culture references). The plot is adventurous, funny, fun, & even heroic.

Final summation, if you want a historically accurate version of Hercules, then go to the History channel, but if you want a fun, adventurous, & funny -good time of a movie, watch Hercules.
