Review of Hercules (1983) by Luxo J — 27 May 2010
Born with superhuman strength, Hercules wants to prove himself a hero so he can be with the Gods like he's meant to be, with his father Zeus. Along with his flying horse, Pegasus, and his personal trainer, Phil (a satyr), Hercules is tricked by Hades, who runs the underworld, who plans to take over Mount Olympus, Hercules must now choose between his strength and his true love, Meg.
This was one of my absolute favourites when I was younger, nowadays it's a favourite, but only under the Disney section. But it would never have been a favourite if it wasn't for the soundtrack. I still do love all the songs in it, I love that Gospel music, it's so great. This has got a great voice cast including James Woods as Hades and Danny DeVito as Phil, those are two of my favourites. This has all that a Disney movie needs, a good story, good music, it's funny, and it's got good animation. It's one of their better ones, not the best, just a better one.
