Review of Her (2013) by Khoin — 19 Jan 2014
Rarely does a move come along that forces you to think as deeply about life and love as Her. Ironically, the last time I saw a movie this original and provocative was Adaptation and Being John Malkovich, two other Spike Jones movies.
I was pleased to see it turn up on the Oscar nominees for Best Picture but appalled that Joaquin Phoenix didn't get nominated for what was one of the most extraordinary performances I've seen in the movies in very long time.
This is a movie that will mark this era as a distinguished mirror to the times in which we live in.
