Review of Her (2013) by Tanvir M — 30 Oct 2014
Prophetic, poetic and haunting vision of a not far future when social alienation will be accelerated by technology- a poor substitute for human contact. It deals with the increasing fear of human interaction, commercialisation of intimate communication with loved ones (the protagonist is one such professional communicator, who himself is a resounding failure when it comes to his personal life) and growing desperation leading to a snowball effect of embracing technology.
The best kind of film- thought provoking and lingering on long after it's over.
