Review of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) by Konrad A — 23 Jul 2007
As the consensus goes, it's truly chilling and haunting. It's hard to pin down why this movie works so well; I think its because of what it chooses to explain and not to explain. The pervasive sense of reality only unravels a bit for me towards the end in the climactic scenes, including when the director chooses to stage some up-close violence that you can see through.
