Review of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) by Timothy S — 14 Dec 2007
Abhorrent in the extreme, this film succeeds only because unlike Salo or other such disgusting pictures, there are no overarching and obvious messages about society being foisted onto the audience. All we see here is death and amorality, with some truly troubling questions about what can be classified as "evil" when there are no boundaries which exist in the mind of a killer.
Michael Rooker truly shocks and upsets in this devastating horror picture.
