Review of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) by Gordon B — 16 Feb 2009
The captivating performances and low-budget, stripped down style gives the film a very realistic feeling, foregoing exploitation for a more amoral, dispassionate, and altogether disturbing film.
It's no contradiction that this is both one of the best movies I've seen, but one of the least pleasant to watch---it left me feeling sick, very near tears, and completely upset. And I mean that as a compliment. I guess.
