Review of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) by Edgar C — 17 Sep 2009
With a better direction, it could've been one of the best horror films of modern era. I can't complain of the direction, neither of the acting throughout the film of one of the characters. This is among the finest (and most modest indeed) little films of psychological horror. A great biographical portrait, and a disturbing story to tell. The general opinion stating it is one of the most disturbing films ever made should not distract your attention from the very attractive talent this cult film resulted to have overall. It is nowhere near the shock value of the Italian films of the 70's, so you should just proceed.
77/100.
