Review of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) by Sally A — 03 Sep 2012
I think the would have been much more effective back in its day. I guess I have seen too many of these films now for this one to have much impact but it is well done and I suppose this was the first of its kind in regards to the faux Cinema Verite style.
I always find Michael Rooker pretty scary so he was perfect for the role and there are a couple of genuinely shocking scenes. Maybe not as edgy as it once was but solid and a genre defining classic.
