Review of Henry Poole Is Here (2008) by Jaime F — 17 Aug 2008
I really enjoyed this movie. It dealt with issues such as faith and religious beliefs without being forceful. I am not religious at all, but this movie was really touching. For the most part it deals with the ideas of appreciating life, relationships with those around you and accepting that sometimes things can't be explained.
You really love the characters in this, I just wished they had developed them a little bit more. Some of the acting felt a little forced, but really the story won me over. I was amazed at how they dealt with something that could be so religious and made it so that anyone of any belief could connect to it.
