Review of Henry Poole Is Here (2008) by Andrew C — 01 Mar 2009
I thought this was actually a pretty good movie. Personally, I think Luke is a better actor than his brother Owen and tends to be a bit underrated unlike his brother who is somewhat overrated. In this movie I could feel his character's anger towards faith, denies himself hope; and I could understand why he wouldn't believe in miracles even when they were staring him down from the bad stucco job on the wall of his house.
He moved there so that he could die in peace but everyone and everything made it harder. There were some heart-felt moments when things got emotionally tough for him, and the end is so inspiring. I enjoyed it.
