Not the worst movie, but pretty melodramatic and it takes itself too seriously most of the time. A lot of slow, dragged-out musical scenes, tears, and big important moments. I like Luke Wilson, and think he did a pretty good job as Henry Poole (though it's amazing how much his voice sounds like brother Owen's!).
I also have a soft spot for movies with southern California neighborhoods. Like King of California--I felt similarly about parts of that movie. And I know the neighborhood isn't the most desirable; I guess I'm just a true Californian at heart.
