Review of Henry Poole Is Here (2008) by Mary V — 26 Apr 2009
I've seen this described as a dark comedy, which I guess it is with themes of death, religious belief, dysfunctional families, etc., but the characters are surprisingly warm and will win you over almost immediately, even "sad and angry" Henry.
Not quite my cup of tea, but it has some good writing and nice performances, and a decent message about faith. Certainly worth a rental.
