Review of Henry Poole Is Here (2008) by Ana B — 08 Sep 2009
The idea of this movie is quite original, a man, Henry Poole- a very good Luke Wilson-, believes he's going to die soon and decides to spend his last remaining months in the town where he was brought up.
We then meet the busybody neighbour, an excellent Adriana Barraza,- that just is not going to let that happen-, a child with psicological problems and a very shortsighted supermarket cashier. The beginning of the film is very good specially because the dialogues are very vibrant.
Somehow along the way the movie looses its brightness and becomes more conventional, but in general it is a good watch though I really miss some sort of background in Henry's life.
