Review of Henry & June (1990) by David G — 30 Jul 2009
This was an interesting concept overall, the first film to receive an NC-17 rating (for something OTHER than the ever present sex scenes, mind you). Maria de Medeiros is beautiful and played such an intriguing role.
Her personality changed so dramatically and so often. Unfortunately, the pacing was a bit off and the end dragged a bit. Kevin Spacey's little cameos were both funny and bizarre. I probably should look into Ana¯s Nin's journals now.
