Review of Hempsters: Plant the Seed (2008) by Roger H — 08 Feb 2012
This documentary sheds light on illogical laws outlawing industrial hemp growing in the USA. The current rationalization for these laws is that industrial hemp would obscure detection of illegal marijuana, thus proliferate illegal marijuana.
The documentary presents several convincing counter arguments as well as presents the enormous benefits that could be realized to American farmers through legalization of industrial hemp growing. When watching this I could feel my blood pressure rise as once again the land of the free has become the land of whoever has the most money (entities which usually represent big corporate interests in some fashion).
I don't like the stigma of being a conspiracy theorist, but in this case, the current anti-hemp laws are so illogical that, in my opinion, there is no other conclusion a reasonable person could draw given all the facts.
