Review of Helvetica (2007) by Tracy K — 05 Jan 2008
Can you make an entire documentary about a font? Apparently. Can it be interesting for the full running time? Not really. Cut out about 20 of the scenes that prove to me Helvetica is used everywhere I look, (because ya'know, I never look anywhere) and the history and usefulness and general opinion about Helvetica from "well known" typographers might be more watchable.
The constant montages of Helvita in daily life got to be too much though.
