Review of Helvetica (2007) by Chris S — 23 Aug 2008
Hard to imagine anyone outside of graphic designers, linguists and historians appreciating this documentary that's 20 minutes too long, but I managed. I found myself decidedly in the middle, railing just as much against the font's association with corporate and governmental authority as I did against the hippies who preferred illegible gobbledygook to a clean, ubiquitous typeface.
