Review of Helvetica (2007) by Katie B — 07 Jan 2010
Type design is an interest of mine so my opinion of this movie is probably biased. That said, I found it very enjoyable. It is funny how a typeface like Helvetica, which is the epitome of corporate anonymity, should evoke such passionate responses, positive and negative.
Plus, it was good to put faces to a lot of designers I knew only by name and to hear them describe their art in their own words. I've already pre-ordered the DVD!
