Review of Helvetica (2007) by Chris J — 18 Jun 2010
The type face heard around the world. A poignant and interesting documentary about the aesthetic faculties of the simple and often glossed over. Fascinating in its overview of designers that work in a little known corner of the art world.
Watch it and be regaled by stories of the Swiss typographical monopoly in the 70s and its heirs. Oh, there's some stuff about Helvetica, the type face, in there as well. Highly recommend.
