Review of Hellraiser: Inferno (2000) by Tristan G — 23 Mar 2009
After researching about the new Hellraiser remake I realized that there were a couple Hellraiser films out there that I had not seen yet "MY GOSH!", so I decided it was time check them out, but what I found was that I should have just left this series by the wayside.
Hellraiser & Hellraiser II Hellbound are the only real Hellraiser films to see. After Disney took over the rights under their Dimension label, it all went to shit and Hellraiser - Inferno is no different.
Bad acting, bad story, bad writing, bad everything. One thing is a plus however in that Doug Bradley always comes back to reprise his role as Pinhead, but the amount of screen time taken up by his character in each film is so miniscule that you can almost see Dougie boy reaching out for his bag of cash.
Craig Scheffer returns from his last Clive Barker approved outing (Nightbreed) and sports some of the worst acting I have ever seen in a film, B-Movie or otherwise. This is better than Helleraiser - Deader but not as good as Hellraiser III - Hell On Earth so don't expect much if your an avid watcher of these films.
It is worth a once around but only if your a fan.
