Review of Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992) by Steve R — 24 Nov 2006
Awful. awful, awful. So horribly awful. Basically nothing happens until the last twenty minutes and even then its not even good. Gore wise its all pretty damn slack. Story wise even slacker. The only 'decent' thing about this movie was being able to laugh like heck at how utterly stupid and ridiculous the new cenobites were and how they were trying to 'torture' the protagonist by giggling around in a circle around her while poking her with their fingers and cigarettes.
Friggin stupid, utterly disappointing and a waste of time. While Pinhead may be an expert in torture, I think the film-makers are more so the experts of torture as demonstrated in this terrible and unnecessary experience of a sequel.
I've officially been put off watching anymore Hellraiser films for fearing that it may be as bad or dare-I-say-it, worse than this.
