Doug Bradly alone raises this movie up from just being another Hollywood monster movie. His performance is actually Oscar-worthy as the demon Pinhead, Prince of Hell (which we all know he'll never get since the type of movies he stars in).
Without Bradly, this would be a very pathetic movie, supplied with pretty bad acting, and off-the-wall plot-points. But because he is in it and brings life into the film, it's worth a view.
