Review of Hellraiser: Deader (2005) by Roxanne R — 24 Jun 2011
Ah we have a heroine that reminds me of Lara Croft because she wears Cargo pants, boots and a leather jacket and she is not afraid to chase people in order to get her story! So far I can finally sympathize with a character (besides our Kirstie Cotton).
So where does this one takes us to? Glad you asked...A female reporter named Amy Klein (Kari Wuhrer) is a reporter for a London newspaper. She is sent to Bucharest, Romania to investigate an underground suicide cult (the Deaders) who can bring back the dead.
She is quickly drawn into their dark world and soon can see no way out other than to join them. The Cult is led by Winter (Paul Rhys). At the address given to her by her editor, Amy finds the corpse of a girl and a puzzle box.
In her hotel room, despite being told not to do so by Marla (the corpse), she opens the puzzle box. Hooks appear which try to pull her into the box. The Gates of Hell are summoned and Pinhead appears to inform her that she is in grave danger.
Amy is trying to gather evidence and facts for her story but it seems this is one killer story and she many never come out of it alive. Lots of blood which may make you feel lightheaded, good storyline and it will keep you entertained.
I did not like the ending too much but definitely it is recommended! I had a good time watching a few of these movies with some friends at home today. As a matter of fact one of them now wants to upgrade his tv and buy a Samsung like the one I have.
He was impressed with the sharpness, speakers and the size of the HDTV. So tomorrow we are heading to Best Buy and I will help him get the 3D starter kit since he loved the Tahiti Imax blu-ray as well.
I am still in awe that now you have a complete library of movies at your fingertips. No longer having to set foot at a video store, just browse, and choose the one you want to see immediately.
