Review of Hellraiser: Deader (2005) by Craig W — 11 Aug 2011
A very interesting sequel that leaves very little in want. It isn't quite up to par with the original or the first sequel, but it is entertaining. The story is somewhat new to a series that is 7 movies in.
It is somewhat confusing, and the ending is rather annoyingly short. I don't remember much of the film other than the fact that I liked it. It continues the more investigative story line that the later sequels created.
This is probably the highest quality of these films aside from Hellseeker which really isn't on the same plane as the others. However, it is interesting and will keep one's attention despite some original confusion as to what the character is really investigating.
It is effective as both a horror movie and a sequel. This is one that I recommend. Despite some obvious wrongs, it is really good and worth a watch.
