Creatures' makeup is eventually superior than the mediocre Dracula rip-off of the story: also, time took a heavy toll over the didascalic "too sex is bad" 80s' message. But good ideas live on their own, and one wonders when a new iconic and truly fantastic villains like cenobytes will save us from the torture-porn horror stalemate.
