Well, Sally Field is by far the most under-used and under-appreciated actress in Hollywood. Besides acting ability she has physical comedy that is hilarious. But don't let the trailers fool you. Although the scenes they show in the trailers are funny (and are very funny in the movie), there is much more dysfunction and pathos than they would lead you to believe.
Doris has SERIOUS issues. And well, I don't want to say more and give anything away. I liked it a lot but was expecting something a little different.
