Review of Hello, My Name Is Doris (2015) by Ken S — 26 Jun 2016
Michael Showalter, best known for his work on "Stella" and "Wet Hot American Summer" directs this feature about an eccentric older woman who falls for a young new guy at her office, and attempts to get close to him.
Sally Field is great in the lead role, she really carries the movie on her back, because while it is cute and funny...it at times feels like a generic indie movie, hitting familiar beats. But Field is great playing a great lead character, and that makes up for some of it's average elements.
