Review of Hellion (2012) by Joseph B — 12 Jun 2014
Hellion covers familiar territory via a new lens. We see things we hope aren't happening, but we know reflect the lives of many. We drive by these small towns and it's easy to forget what lay deeper.
Paul & Wiggins bring a sympatico and understanding to the screen even as they barrel towards a tragic ending. Deke Garner as Wes is the sole survivor, the family dissolution complete, yet we see hope for his redemption.
A must see, but be warned, this is a drama that will keep you up thinking for some time after the end credits roll.
