Even more thrilling than the first, the golden army is a nonstop action fest! As always, Pellman is perfect as the "Big Ape" and Del toro really let's his imagination run wild. It's more of a fantasy than a action movie, as well.
The makeup is superior since there are far more creatures than the first, and the Danny Elfman score is a load of fun! I personally think Hellboy 2: The Golden Army is better than the original, so don't just rent it, pick up a copy!
