The first one was SO much better than I thought it would be, and with that, it earned my interest in the sequel...even though my expectations were relatively low...rarely are sequels as good as the original.
..and I didn't think the first one was THAT great...just surprisingly good. This one was pretty decent..the special effects are really outstanding and Guillermo del Toro's vision is incredible.
It's a tad predictable and has a couple chuckles in it, but overall, as far as comic book movies go (because you have to take movies like this at face value), it's a pretty decent movie.
