The is a fun movie and it develops the characters a bit more than the first one. Del Toro's directing is excellent. The only puzzle for me is why that damned elf hated humanity so much. That wasn't really explained.
Otherwise, the story-line is a bit deeper than that of the first. Great CGI and special effects!
