Review of Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) by Peter P — 02 Oct 2012
Let me start by saying that I love Hellboy, and overall this movie rocked, but it wasn't perfect. The story was a little thin and I would have like to have heard some more one liners from Big Red and company. Saying that, here is what I loved, Guillermo del Toro is a sheer genius, in style and substance, the acting was really good, Doug Jones and Ron Perlman were really on top of their games, and the rest of the cast preformed well. The creature design was great and real looking and I am always down to see Hellboy smack around people/creatures with the hand of doom. The movie was funny, sad, and action packed. The only character I did not like was the new BPRD boss Krause. I just could not get into his character for some reason. So overall this is a great addition to the Hellboy universe, bring on third one to wrap it up and I will be there to watch it. And remember, don't wake the baby.
Oh, Yeah, I always knew toothfaires sucked, now I have proof. Oh Crap.
