Review of Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) by The Critic ( — 18 May 2013

Guillermo del Toro's second cinematic offering of comic book hero Hellboy is a highly imaginative venture that never forgets to have fun. Despite a shaky start (Montse Ribé delivers an horrendous performance as a young version of our hero), it's the familiar territory involving Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones that let's us know we're in safe hands.

Not quite up to the standard of its predecessor, but pretty damn close.
